The journal IEEE Access regularly presents the results and developments of research in all specialist areas of the IEEE. The content is made available by the publishing authors paying a publication fee. However, if you are a member of IEEE as an author, there are various options for publication discounts. In return, IEEE Access offers a fast peer review and publication process of four to six weeks with free access for all interested readers. The main target audience for the journal is students and engineers.
Interdisciplinary content
The scope of IEEE Access covers all areas of interest of the IEEE, with an emphasis on application-oriented and interdisciplinary articles.
In addition, there is a special section in the journal that highlights a specific topic of general IEEE interest. For this purpose, a focus area is proposed by the editorial IEEE members to highlight application-oriented and interdisciplinary topics. If you want to publish something as an author with IEEE Access, there are a few things to consider. In principle IEEE Xplore is open to everyone to search free of charge. However if you want to read the full-text, a licence fee is necessary, which requires a sign-up. After the registration, you can choose between the different research and subscription options such as an individual or institutional subscription, or a subscription for IEEE members. How do I publish on IEEE Xplore?
Would you like to publish as an author on IEEE Xplore? You can complete the publishing process very easily online in the IEEE Author Center. There are various video descriptions and authoring tools, to help you publish your research more quickly and effectively. Your manuscript will then undergo peer review, and every article must be reviewed by at least two independent referees. As soon as your article is accepted for publication, it will enter Production. We can gladly advise you in a personal call, whether an author workshop is required.
