IEEE Access

IEEE Access
All important information on IEEE Access at a glance.
IEEE Access – one of the largest Open Access journals
The journal IEEE Access regularly presents the results and developments of research in all specialist areas of the IEEE. The content is made available by the publishing authors paying a publication fee. However, if you are a member of IEEE as an author, there are various options for publication discounts. In return, IEEE Access offers a fast peer review and publication process of four to six weeks with free access for all interested readers. The main target audience for the journal is students and engineers.

Interdisciplinary content
The scope of IEEE Access covers all areas of interest of the IEEE, with an emphasis on application-oriented and interdisciplinary articles.
In addition, there is a special section in the journal that highlights a specific topic of general IEEE interest. For this purpose, a focus area is proposed by the editorial IEEE members to highlight application-oriented and interdisciplinary topics. Together with the editorial board, a “Call for Papers” is then sent out to researchers from institutions and industry to request the submission of manuscripts. These should identify and discuss technical challenges and current results on the topic of the respective area.
Indexing:
- Current Contents/Engineering, Computing and Technology Edition (Clarivate Analytics)
- Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
- EBSCOhost
- Egg Compendex
- Google Scholar
- IET Inspec
- Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition (Clarivate Analytics)
- Science Citation Index Expanded (Clarivate Analytics)

If there is a match, certain generally accessible company data is processed and made available to the website operator on a platform. The comparison is carried out using an encrypted function known as hashing. Access from private individuals is filtered out in advance in a pre-selection process. If it is a private IP address, neither storage nor identification takes place. A cookie is set on the website visitor’s end device. If the user has not been identified as a company, the tool merely instructs the user not to record any further data. Otherwise, only a cookie with a random ID is generated. SAE

SAE
SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) was founded in the USA in 1905. The professional and trade association for the automotive industry has more than 132,000 members worldwide. In order to develop standards in vehicle construction, SAE also quickly became active in the aerospace industry.
Additive manufacturing is the hot topic in the industry. Many standardization organizations already have corresponding working groups. At SAE, a corresponding working group for the Aerospace Material Specifications (AMS) began its work three years ago and has now published the first four standards:
- AMS7000: Laser-Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) Produced Parts, Nickel Alloy, Corrosion and Heat-Resistant, 62Ni – 21.5Cr – 9.0Mo – 3.65Nb Stress Relieved, Hot Isostatic Pressed and Solution Annealed
- AMS7001: Nickel Alloy, Corrosion and Heat-Resistant, Powder for Additive Manufacturing, 62Ni – 21.5Cr – 9.0Mo – 3.65Nb
- AMS7002: Process Requirements for Production of Metal Powder Feedstock for Use in Additive Manufacturing of Aerospace Parts
- AMS7003: Laser Powder Bed Fusion Process
SAE International is today one of the leading professional associations for mobility technologies. In addition to developing standards and creating material specifications, the association also publishes technical reports (which are also presented at SAE’s numerous conferences), books and magazines on an ongoing basis.
SAE supports medical assistance in air transportation with the free availability of the transportation standards in this area. Access the transportation guidelines here.
SAE EDGE™ research reports provide current and industry-standard research on the most important topics in today’s mobility industry, including connected and automated vehicle technologies, electrification and new manufacturing methods. To date, 17 research reports have been published. The reports provide engineers and scientists with a very good overview of the state of research.
SAE International has a new preprint server, MobilityRxiv, on which previously unpublished articles and research papers on the topics of mobility and transportation can be published. Publication on SAE MobilityRxiv is free of charge. Manuscripts and work reports that are not intended for publication in specialist journals or at conferences can also be published here. All digital contributions are given a DOI (Document Object Identifier) so that they can be cited.
SAE International Standard J1939 DBC file (Data Base Container) is a generic database file based on the SAE J1939 standard. It contains the rules and definitions for translating CAN bus (Controller Area Network) messages into physical values. This file is often used in vehicle diagnostics and development to analyze and interpret communication between electronic control units (ECUs). It covers a wide range of J1939 data such as signals, parameter groups (PGNs) and messages. Further information on this topic can be found at SAE Shared Mobility.

With the newly announced SAE International Journal on Sustainable Transportation, Energy, Environment & Policy, SAE now publishes 13 journals.
