IEEE Access – one of the largest Open Access journals
The journal IEEE Access regularly presents the results and developments of research in all specialist areas of the IEEE. The content is made available by the publishing authors paying a publication fee. However, if you are a member of IEEE as an author, there are various options for publication discounts. In return, IEEE Access offers a fast peer review and publication process of four to six weeks with free access for all interested readers. The main target audience for the journal is students and engineers.
Interdisciplinary content
The scope of IEEE Access covers all areas of interest of the IEEE, with an emphasis on application-oriented and interdisciplinary articles.
In addition, there is a special section in the journal that highlights a specific topic of general IEEE interest. For this purpose, a focus area is proposed by the editorial IEEE members to highlight application-oriented and interdisciplinary topics. Together with the editorial board, a “Call for Papers” is then sent out to researchers from institutions and industry to request the submission of manuscripts. These should identify and discuss technical challenges and current results on the topic of the respective area.

How do I write a technical article for IEEE Access?
If you want to publish something as an author with IEEE Access, there are a few things to consider. The IEEE provides you with various video descriptions and authoring tools with which you can publish research results faster and more effectively. Your manuscript will then undergo peer review, and every article must be reviewed by at least two independent referees. As soon as your article is accepted for publication, it will enter Production.
