The journal IEEE Access regularly presents the results and developments of research in all specialist areas of the IEEE. The content is made available by the publishing authors paying a publication fee. However, if you are a member of IEEE as an author, there are various options for publication discounts. In return, IEEE Access offers a fast peer review and publication process of four to six weeks with free access for all interested readers. The main target audience for the journal is students and engineers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interdisciplinary content<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The scope of IEEE Access covers all areas of interest of the IEEE, with an emphasis on application-oriented and interdisciplinary articles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, there is a special section in the journal that highlights a specific topic of general IEEE interest. For this purpose, a focus area is proposed by the editorial IEEE members to highlight application-oriented and interdisciplinary topics. Together with the editorial board, a “Call for Papers” is then sent out to researchers from institutions and industry to request the submission of manuscripts.
