Furthermore the ASME B16.5 standard defines the materials to be used to flanges, coils, connectors and fittings, including alloys, carbon steels and stainless steels. ASME B16.5 regulates together with its dimensions and tolerances the dimensional profile for flanges, coils, connectors and fittings. Furthermore it describes the requirements of pressure capacity and leak rate for flanges, coils, connectors and fittings.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><em>ASME B16.20 <\/em><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ASME B16.20 contains requirements for expansion joints and fittings that are used in pressure line and other systems. Also defined in ASME B16.20 are the requirements of pressure capacity and leak rate for expansion joints and fittings.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><em>ASME B31.3<\/em><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ASME B31.3 describes the requirements for process piping, particularly in the context of the petrochemical and chemical industries. ASME B31.3 includes the requirements for materials, that should be used for process piping, including carbon steels, stainless steels, alloys and non-ferrous metals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furthermore ASME B31.3 defines the construction and manufacturing requirements for process piping, including the choice of suitable structural shape, of suitable welding processes and of the monitoring of welding works. Also it contains the requirements for pressure capacity and leak rate for process piping.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ASME B31.3 describes requirements on inspections and testing for process pipiing, together with the supervision of materials testing, pressure testing and final inspection.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><em>ASME B31.1<\/em><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ASME B31.1 describes the requirements for piping in power stations, including steam and condensation systems, heat transport and cooling systems, oil and gas piping systems. Additionally ASME B31.1 sets the standard for materials, including carbon steels, stainless steels, alloys and non-ferrous metals, that should be used for piping in power stations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alongside the construction and manufacturing requirements for piping in power stations, ASME B31.1 also defines the choice of suitable structural shape, of suitable welding processes and of the monitoring of welding works.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ASME B31.1 also standardises the pressure capacity and leak rate for piping in power stations. It also defines requirements to be adhered to for inspection and testing of piping in power stations, as well as the monitoring of materials testing, pressure testing and final inspection.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><em>ASME B36.10<\/em><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The standard ASME B36.10 describes requirements for steel pipelines, which are used in the petrochemical and chemical industries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ASME B36.10 standardises requirements for materials, which should be used for steel pipelines, including carbon steels, stainless steels and alloys. This includes the choice of suitable structural shape, of suitable welding processes and of the monitoring of welding works. In this context ASME B36.10 also describes the exact requirements on pressure capacity and leak rates for steel pipelines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ASME B36.10 also sets out the requirements for inspections and testing of steel pipelines. This also covers the monitoring of materials testing, pressure testing and final inspection.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><em>ASME Section VIII<\/em><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ASME Section VIII is an important part of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.standardsandmore.com\/digitale-bibliotheken\/asme\/asme-code-2023\/\">ASME BPVC<\/a>). This chapter of section 8 gives rules for the construction of pressure vessels. Key here are especially the requirements for the construction, manufacture, testing and monitoring of pressure vessels.
