The Institution of Engineering and Technology
was formed by the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and the Institution of Incorporated Engineers (IIE) and now has more than 150,000 members worldwide. It is the largest professional engineering society in Europe and the second largest of its type in the world.

The IET Digital Library holds more than 50,000 technical papers from journals and magazines back to 1994.
Highly cited journals such as Electronic Letters are available alongside 16 IEE Proceedings titles, the new Institution member magazine Engineering & Technology, and 7 professional magazines plus seminar digests and conference publications. Also available on the IET Digital Library is the newly launched online journal Micro & Nano Letters.
