WL – Werkstoffleistungsblätter as a NormCD section DVD / Online

The German Defense Industry uses mostly defined civil Standards such as DIN, ISO and EN for development and purchase of materials. If use of civil Standards is not possible, it will be worked on the integration of specific needs into existing Standards or on the development of new civil Standards.

This is possible because of partnership between experts of the German Defense Industry and civil Standards Comittees of the "Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V. (DIN). The result of this cooperation is new civil Standards.

Only if the special needs cannot be integrated into civil Standards, experts of different gremiums work on special papers called Verteidigungsgeräte-Normen (VG-Normen) and for materials the WL-Blätter of the BWB (Bundesamt für Wehrtechnik und Beschaffung).
This happens by using rules of the civil standards committes for defense of DIN.

As soon as civil Standards appear which include these special needs, the existing defense standards will be withdrawn.

The current VG’s are included in NormCD Section 26 on DVD or Online as a yearly subscription. Access via Perinorm or Perinorm Online.
